"Gold Drips" was written when Charlie was listening to artists such as The National, Joy Division and Australian artists such as Alex Lahey and Samia.

It basis itself around enmeshed family, and co dependant romantic relationships, what it is to be stuck in a position of loyalty and remembering your strength to break out of that place.
